■ Steven H. Baldauf, P. E. Steven H. Baldauf, P.E. has more than thirty years of technical experience in structural engineering, design management, marketing and as a Principal of Baldauf ■ Herrin & Associates, Inc. corporate leadership. Steven was enrolled in a joint engineering/liberal arts
program between the University of Connecticut and Fairfield University,
in Fairfield Connecticut. In 1974, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude, from UCONN and a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Fairfield University. After moving As a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Texas and Arkansas, Steven has contributed to the design of major projects throughout the course of his career, including Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Station while a Senior Structural Engineer with Gibbs & Hill, Inc., New York and Dallas, The Superconducting Supercollider while a supervising structural engineer with Parsons Brinkerhoff, Inc., Dallas, TX, the Crescent complex in Dallas while with Ellisor & Tanner, Inc., and a wide variety of projects such as high rise office towers, schools, telecom and industrial facilities, pump stations, retail projects, hotels and others. Steven is a member of the Structural Engineers Association
of Texas, (SEAoT), and was President of SEAoT in 1998 as well as a member
of the SEAoT State Board of Directors from 1998 to 1999. He is a member
of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, (TSPE) and was Liaison
Officer to SEAoT in 2005. On behalf of the Dallas Chapter of TSPE, he
is currently serving a 2-year term as a Member of the DFW International
Airport Board of Appeals; other memberships include the Consulting Engineers
Council of Texas, the Structural Engineering Institute, the American Society
of Civil Engineers, and the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. As a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, Steven serves as the Secretary of the S.A.M.E. Scholarship Foundation Board, and is the chairperson of the Sporting Clays fundraiser for the Foundation. Steven was named the Dallas Post’s “Member of the Year” for 2007. Steven has authored technical papers on the structural aspects of the Super-conducting Super Collider and has given presentations on the SSC to Dallas area professional societies. In addition, he presented a paper on High Strength Concrete, 1989 ACI Convention. Steven and his beautiful wife of 32 years, Judy, live in Garland, Texas and have two sons, David and Adam. They have been members of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Garland for 25 years where Steven serves as an usher and a member of the Parish Advisory Council.
